So, I swear I've been on the hunt for the PERFECT pair of combat boots for the last few years. I've purchased some on impulse, which has resulted in a lot of returns and still no solid pair of boots to call my own. Of course, I find every hybrid of peep-toe/wedge/open-toed bootie, but no perfect combat boot. My dreammmmmmmmmmmm boots would be the Alexander Wang Mirte Boot. I have been searching the globe for these. They are EXACTLY what I have been missing in my life.

These are heaven-sent. But unfortunately, they aren't distrubuted anymore. WAHHH! Of course, I always tend to fall in love with trends really late. I think these are an investment piece though. So instead, I probably own every single variation of this type of shoe. Most recently, I purchased these on Gilt for a steal! I am in LOVE with the wedge trend (duh, who isn't?) BUT - for me, they aren't that comfortable. I have been cringing at the thought of wearing heels for everyday, I have learned to accept that I just cannot make it work. So I have opted for platforms. They aren't really at an angle (like all wedges), so they are extremely comfortable. And the leather is really soft!
